Apart from the degradation and depletion of natural resources like air, water and soil, our earthy is facing another grave threat in the form of global warming. Global warming refers to the rising earth’s temperature because of an increase in emission of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide. Developed countries contribute significantly to this emission. With the United States alone emitting 24% of the total carbon dioxide emissions. This increase in temperature leads to climatic changes resulting in droughts and floods in many parts of the world. Global warming is also responsible for the loss of ice cover in the Arctic Ocean.
