One of the reasons for environment degradation is the increase in population. Population explosion has lead to destruction of all natural resources. Heavy shortage of land has made man destroy forests not only for habitation but also for commercial purposes. Increasing individual consumption has lead to an increased demand for water, food and energy. This increased consumption has resulted in an increase in waste products. These waste products in turn severely damage our natural resources of air, water and soil leading to the death of many species. Climatic conditions have also gone through dramatic changes leading to extreme weather conditions.
